(3/29/2023) "The 2020 Chateau La Fleur De Bouard showed beautifully, with the more elegant, finesse-driven style that this estate has been moving toward front and center. Ripe black cherries, mulberries, toasted spice, and beautifully integrated oak all emerge from the glass. Medium to full-bodied, balanced, and elegant on the palate, it has fine tannins, a terrific sense of freshness and purity, and outstanding length. It will benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age (it's far from unapproachable even today) and will drink fabulously well over the following decade. Maturity: 2026 - 2036."

(3/12/2023) "The 2020 La Fleur de Bouard is a blend of 82% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it gives up baked black plums and cedary notes, leading to hints of fruitcake, baked raspberries, and Chinese five spice. The full-bodied palate is laden with juicy black fruits and spicy accents, supported by velvety tannins, finishing long and fragrant. Drinking: 2023 - 2037."
