(9/2023) Though the elevation is high and temps are delightfully cool, the sunny Savoie can make some rich-feeling whites in eastern France that still pack in the salty minerality with just-right acidity. This Altesse gives notes of stone fruit, lots of florals and bitter almonds to produce a true terroir Alpine white that resembles Swiss wines. And at $14.99, it is an outstanding value!
