(5/2023) Welcome to the Alps! This summertime, low octane dry white is deceptively dense and fleshy, with super fresh minerality - a perfect back porch welcome four outdoor party guests. This wine hails from the Savoie region of eastern France, right on the Swiss border, an area better known for skiing and cheese than it is for wine. This crisply textured bottling comes from the village of Abymes and is made entirely from the Jacquere grape. While under 12% ABV, the wine feels weighty and presents salted, mineral-laden apple and lemon flavors along with a long finish that expands with oxygen. A very cool white that packs more than the first few sips suggest.
