(11/2021) The top bottling from Domaine Lejeune comes from a 0.6 hectare parcel in "Les Rugiens" vineyard, one of three sites in Pommard that have been nominated for Grand Cru status. In the glass, this incredible, intense young wine shows a primarily translucent medium ruby color. On the nose and in the mouth, this proud Pinot--which Aubert typically makes no more than 1000 bottles of--is elegant, with lifted minerality and floral notes. Packed with baking spice, deep tangy red fruit, dried leaf and mushroom, this rich wine needs time to open. Ideally aged for another 3 to 5 years, you'll want to give this world-class Burgundy quite a bit of time in a decanter if you decide to open now. Enjoy this triumph of power, complexity and mineral precision over the next 10 to 20 years!
