Generosity galore on this ridiculously long 100% Chardonnay, giving total deliciousness, its massive mouthfeel almost defying description. We know that for this cuvee, Vignier selects a lieu-dit each year from her Cramant holdings that she feels best expresses the terroir and the vintage for Cramant Chardonnay. The selected site for the 2016 vintage was the lieu-dit "Les Fourches", located in the south of the village near the famed "Bateau", on clayey marl soils with pure chalk subsoils. The wine was fermented in stainless steel and aged on the lees until bottling in April following harvest. The wine was aged an additional 64 months en tirage prior to disgorgement. (12/2022)
