Llopart is one of the nine top growers who have recently split from Cava to create the new Corpinnat designation for premium Spanish sparkling wine!
(3/2021) "Llopart is one of the most historic estates in Catalonia. They began growing grapes in 1385 and was one of the first producers of Cava, starting in 1887. It also makes some of the finest sparkling wines in Spain, with extended lees work and holding the wines in bottle for some time before release. There are 70 hectares of vines planted here. All of the wines are made from that estate fruit, which is not entirely common in the region. These Cavas should be on the short list of anyone who doubts just how great the wines can be. Light, lurid orange. Ripe red berries, tangerine and a floral nuance on the deeply perfumed nose. In a plush, ample style, showing good clarity and lift to the raspberry and citrus fruit flavors. Finishes long and supple, with a repeating floral note and a touch of smokiness. Aged on its lees for 18 months. Drinking window: 2021 - 2025."
