(9/1/2021) "The 2017 Marc Hebrart "Special Club" Brut Millesime is composed from a blend of approximately seventy percent pinot noir and thirty percent chardonnay. It was disgorged in December of 2020. The wine offers up a lovely nose of apple, white peach, bread dough, a touch of raw almond, a fine base of soil and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is bright, young, full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a good core of fruit, zesty acids, elegant mousse and a long, nascently complex and very promising finish. This is still a puppy and needs some time in the cellar to loosen up and drink with generosity, but it has lovely constituent components and is going to be a fine bottle once it has blossomed. Drink between 2025-2050."
