(12/2023) What a beautiful and seriously impressive Cabernet. It's the kind of wine that makes old-world wine drinkers want to drink Napa Cabernet again. And if you like drinking familiar steakhouse Cabs, this is the wine for you. It is entirely giving and packed with seductive pleasure, but it is also soulful. Cassis, currants, blackberry and blueberry, plus sweet wood tones, including chocolate, toast and coffee. The wine has oomph, with big-yet-integrated tannins, a texture of heft, and an extended, impressive finish that is balanced and civilized. Undoubtedly, it is the best Napa Valley Cabernet for the money we've got.
